Colorado Family Fun

If you long for a cool, fun, get-away, I recommend Pagosa Springs, CO. Our family leased two lodges on the lake and had a great vacation. A canoe was provided as well as a sturdy fishing pier. Our group caught many fish (catch and release only). Almost-nine- year- old Jacob won the best fisherman award. I enjoyed communicating with a large gaggle of tame Canadian geese.

River Fun

Rafts were available for negotiating the river, and bikes could be rented for scenic rides. The fellows enjoyed the golf course. The hot mineral springs downtown were very relaxing after an extended shopping trip.
We made the short drive to Chimney Rock, built by the ancestors of the modern Pueblo Indians, and exercised our legs and our understanding of this ancient people.

Try to include July 4th in your stay. The town puts on an entertaining, patriotic parade.
Maybe we’ll see you there in 2015.
